Existuje u blýskáčka řepkového korelace mezi citlivostí k lambda-cyhalothrinu a thiaclopridu?

Susceptibilities of 86 Meligethes aeneus samples in 2011, 68 samples in 2012, 60 samples in 2013 and 65 samples in 2014 from the Czech Republic (and partly from Slovakia, too) were simultaneously tested with lambda-cyhalothrin and thiacloprid through the use of adult vial tests. Significant correlations (p<0.05) between untransformed LC values for the two insecticides were recorded only in 2014. Between Log10 transformed LC values the significant correlations (p<0.05) were recorded not only in 2014 but also in 2012. Czech populations of pollen beetles show high levels of resistance to lambda-cyhalothrin and high variability in the levels of susceptibility to thicloprid. článek v odborném periodiku

Changes in Meligethes aeneus (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae) Susceptibility to Lambda-cyhalothrin in the Czech Republic between 2009 and 2011

Susceptibility of Meligethes sp. (mainly M. aeneus) from the Czech Republic was tested with lambda-cyhalothrin (111 samples in 2009, 125 in 2010, and 102 in 2011) through the use of IRAC method No. 011, Vers. 3. Resistant samples were the most frequent in all three years and their proportions increased from 33% to 62% between 2009 and 2011. The last samples classified as highly susceptible were recorded in 2010. The mean percentage mortalities for a common European field rate of 7.5 g a.i/ha were 82.2% in 2009, 78.92% in 2010, and 67.45% in 2011(according to Abbott’s formula). The values of LC50 ranged from 0.084 to 47.27 g a.i./ha in 2009, from 0.051 to 46.78 g a.i./ha in 2010, and from 0.238 to 19.92 g a.i./ha in 2011. Hemp as a crop known for its high tolerance to toxic pollutants concentrations in the soil belongs to the candidates for phytoremediation. This work monitored differences in the parameters yield of the linseed. Were studied varieties of linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) Czech, French, Dutch and Canadian origin. The results showed a statistically significant varietal differences in seed yield, non-retted and retted stem and total fiber yield. Conversely, the total content of the fibre showed statistically significant differences between the varieties. The results show that some varieties are able to provide the next high seed yield and provided suitable conditions, a relatively high yield of stem. článek v odborném periodiku

Staphylococcus aureus and other pathogens in relation to breed of cattle and somatic cell count

Influence of breed on somatic cell count (SCC) and occurrence of particular species was evaluated. The samples were collected from farms with Holstein (H; 10 farms - 365 cows) breeding and from farms with Czech Fleckvieh (CF; 2 farms – 67 cows). The obtained dataset was statisticaly evaluated by analysis of variance. The occurrence of pathogens was compared between H and CF. The relationship between SCC and incidence of pathogens was determined as well. It is evident that more positive cows were in breed H compared to CF (H 41.6%; CF 26.9%). The most frequent pathogens in H breed were S. aureus(13.7%), S. uberis (9.6%), S. haemolyticus (8.5%), S. agalactiae (6.9%), E. faecalis (2.5%) and E. faecium (0.8%), while only S. uberis (19.4%), S. haemolyticus (6%) and S. aureus (1.5%) were found in CF. SCC results showed the higher SCC in H breed in case of both negative and positive cows as well and significant impact of breed on logSCC (F = 6.4, P = 0.012). The significant effects of bacterial species were confirmed (F = 13.6, P < 0.001). Multiple comparison among groups of bacterial species showed significant differences between negative and S. aureus, S. agalactiae, S. uberis (P = 0.012, P < 0.001, P < 0.001). Flax and linseed breeding in the Czech Republic has an old tradition reaching to the beginning of the last century. At that time mainly flax varieties were bred and flax industry had a relatively important position also supported by the processing industry. The situation became dramatically to change in the first few years of the 21st century and especially after entry of the Czech Republic to the EU on May 1, 2004. Due to adverse circumstances mainly in the first decade of the 21st century (elimination of subsidies for flax growing, invasion of the cheap raw material from the Asia and China especially the flax areas decreased in Europe, both in Western (France, the Netherlands, Belgium) and Eastern European countries as well including even the Czech Republic. For the first time in the history of flax growing in the Czech Republic also processing factories were destroyed and this branch completely disappeared. It was the main reason why flax varieties breeding and development was stopped in 2010 and all breeding activities were focused on linseed breeding with new qualitative characteristics of the seed (different composition of fatty acids, higher content of lignans, low content of cyanogenic glycosides. článek v odborném periodiku

Škodlivost bílé hniloby řepky a fomového černání stonku řepky na Šumpersku a Opavsku v roce 2014

In vegetation period 2013/2014 was carried out again the monitoring of fungal diseases of oilseed rape, phoma stem canker and Sclerotinia white rot, at Šumperk and Opava regions. On 3 localities in Rapotín, Kujavy and Opava small-plots field trials were established in oilseed rape cultivar Orion with areal field inoculation of pathogens L. maculans and S. sclerotiorum. The increase of the level of infection on inoculated plots has been recorded about 16 %, resp. 6,75 % higher compared to the natural infection pressure. On fungicidal treated plots the infection was suppressed and the yield was positively influenced. The health state of oilseed rape fields was evaluated on 48 localities in both regions in terms of Sclerotinia white rot occurrence. The rate of primary and secondary infection was determined too. According to the obtained results this year prevailed primary type of infection, but in 13 growths in Opava region the infection has not been reported at all. článek v odborném periodiku

Potential of Legume-Cereal Intercropping for Increasing Yields and Yield Stability for Self-Sufficiency with Animal Fodder in Organic Farming

The main objective of this paper is to present possibilities of growing intercrops of peas and spring cereals under Czech conditions. This may support an expansion of legume cereal intercropping, to ensure a larger diversity in the crop rotations on arable land in the CR, especially in organic farming systems. Thereby, it may help Czech organic farmers to become more self-sufficient with fodder for their bred animals. Intercropping of grain legumes and cereals is a promising theme in organic farming for its potential for increasing and stabilizing yields, reducing weed pressure and sustaining plant health. Increasing self-sufficiency with fodder is in agreement with the principles of organic agriculture, and it reduces the risks related to the import of soy protein that may be admixed with GM soya. In 2008–2011, plot trials with intercropped peas and spring cereals (wheat, barley) were conducted. Varieties and pea-cereal combinations were examined to find suitable varieties for intercropping, and the best pea to cereal ratio in the seed intercrop. Results show that intercropping peas and spring cereals influences yield stabilization in comparison with monocultures. The results also show that pea grown in intercrops in organic farming might have a high yield potential under favourable conditions. článek v odborném periodiku

Porovnání různých forem selenu a jeho akumulace pro účely biofortifikace v in vitro podmínkách u lnu (Linum usitatissimum L.)

In years 2012 to 2014 the impact of selenium speciation on uptake and potential toxicity for in vitro cultures of linseed for biofortification purposes was studied. In this research, commercial linseed cultivars were used (Raciol, Amon). In vitro testing of selected concentrations for multiple shoot cultures on solid media was performed. Selenium in the form of sodium selenite Na2SeO3 or sodium selenate Na2SeO4 was added into the medium in following concentrations: A=0µM; B=10µM; C=50µM; D=100µM. The influence of selenium on growth parameters and the estimation of selenium content in the biomass was determined for individual concentrations. Preliminary results show the growth stimulation by low concentration of both selenium forms used. Nevertheless, the increase of fresh biomass during cultivation was higher in the case of Na2SeO4 which showed also less toxicity for in vitro cultures of linseed. článek v odborném periodiku

Flea beetles of genuses Phyllotreta spp., Psylliodes spp and turnip sawly (Athalia rosae) are often very serious pests on different localities and years. We tested the efficacy of insecticide substances from group pyrethroids, neonicotinoids and organophosphorus on flea beetles during the year 2012-2013 and on turnip sawfly in 2014. We used IRAC Methods 011, 021 and 025. All of these substances showed efficacy 100 % in most of flea beetle sub-population. Bast fibres as renewable resources of natural fibres present an important role for different applications like bulding, textile, automotive and agrotextiles.
