Primary function of fatty acids (FA) is creation of prostaglandins, which regulate body functions, like heart frequency, blood pressure, blood coagulation, fertility, conception. Prostaglandins also play important role in immunity, they regulate inflammation and stimulate body to infection fight 1,2. The FAO and WHO recommend proportion of omega-6:omega-3 FA between 5:1 and 10:1. They propose more food consumption with high content of essential FA3.
